Abu Dhabi Finance Week 2025: Engineering the Future of Global Capital

Top financial leaders converge in the UAE to shape investment, innovation, and regulatory transformation

Abu Dhabi Finance Week (ADFW) 2025, held from December 8 to 11 on Al Maryah Island, has cemented its status as one of the Middle East’s premier financial summits. Organized by Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) in partnership with ADQ, this year’s theme—“Engineering the Capital Network”—reflects the emirate’s ambition to become a central node in global finance.

The event was inaugurated by Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, who emphasized the UAE’s commitment to financial innovation, digital transformation, and global cooperation. His presence signaled the strategic importance of ADFW in shaping the region’s economic trajectory.

With over 20,000 participants and 60+ global speakers, ADFW 2025 featured top executives from UBS AG, HSBC, Allianz SE, and Franklin Templeton, among others. Discussions spanned the 2026 market outlook, fintech evolution, climate finance, and regulatory modernization.

A standout focus was the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in reshaping financial services. Panels explored how AI, blockchain, and digital identity systems are transforming capital markets, risk management, and central banking. Cybersecurity and ethical governance also emerged as key themes.

Beyond dialogue, ADFW served as a platform for strategic partnerships, with several MoUs signed to boost cross-border investments and regulatory collaboration. These alliances aim to accelerate innovation and deepen Abu Dhabi’s integration into global financial networks.

Salem Al Darei, CEO of ADGM, described the event as a launchpad for “bold decisions and impactful initiatives,” reinforcing Abu Dhabi’s positioning as the “Capital of Capital.”

In conclusion, ADFW 2025 showcased the UAE’s rising influence in global finance. By blending visionary leadership with cutting-edge technology and inclusive dialogue, the event offered a blueprint for navigating economic uncertainty and digital disruption. As the financial world evolves, Abu Dhabi is clearly engineering its place at the center of it.
